Exercise is often referred to as medicine because it plays a crucial role in enhancing overall health and extending healthspan. Regular physical activity helps reduce risk of chronic disease including high blood pressure, cholesterol and blood sugar. A regular and varied exercise routine promotes longevity and improves quality of life.

Incorporate aerobic exercise on most days of the week

Aim for at least 30 minutes of moderate aerobic activity such as brisk walking or cycling to enhance cardiovascular health and stamina.

Build strength

Perform resistance exercises for major muscle groups at least twice a week to help maintain muscle mass and bone density.

Practise yoga or stretching exercises several times a week to enhance mobility and prevent injuries and falls.
