Emerging Travel Group signs partnership agreement with the Rotana chain of hotels

26 Jan 2021

Emerging Travel Group, an international online travel group that operates in over 170 source markets with the brands RateHawk, ZenHotels, and Ostrovok, has signed a partnership agreement with Rotana, a leading hotel management company with presence in the Middle East, Africa, Eastern Europe, and Turkey.

Under the partnership, Rotana will directly connect its properties to the Emerging Travel Group (ETG) inventory and provide access to wholesale prices to all of its hotels. At the same time, Rotana will leverage its distribution by accessing over 35,000 B2B partners connected to the Group’s platform and millions of travelers visiting Group’s B2C sites monthly.

Rotana hotels will be available at ETG’s brands RateHawk, ZenHotels, and Ostrovok through tools developed by DerbySoft, a global technology provider that connects suppliers with distributors. ETG is connecting a hotel chain using this technology for the first time – now the company will offer its clients a wider range of rates at competitive prices, as well as fuller information about the hotels and the services available in them.

Felix Shpilman, CEO of Emerging Travel Group, commented: “We see growing interest for the Middle East as a leading travel destination on all our platforms, and we believe this trend will continue. Rotana hotels enjoy high demand from users of all Group’s brands and are among the top 15 most booked chains on both B2B and B2C ETG sites. Connecting directly to Rotana allows us to provide clients with a more complete hotel offering, while at the same time enabling the hotel chain to better control its distribution through ETG’s 170 active geographies.”

The average booking check at Rotana hotels on ETG sites is US$480 for four nights. In terms of numbers of bookings on ETG sites, the most booked chain’s hotels in 2020 are located in Dubai, Abu Dhabi, and Ras al Khaimah (United Arab Emirates), Mecca (Saudi Arabia), and Muharraq (Bahrain).
